The emerging need for Faculty Accreditation

IAO - International Accreditation Organization, a global accreditation agency, after analyzing the current educational dynamics, strongly feels there is a dire need for teacher/ faculty accreditation in various parts of the world. Educators' development has always been a main concern for all academic service providers. Moreover, the demand for highly qualified teachers, career counselors and educationists has increased more than ever. However, the need for the highest levels in teaching practices, career orientation and the role of the society is greater than ever.
Though teacher or faculty accreditation involves numerous steps and the accreditation could vary from person to person, but to summarize this extensive process we have put down a few pointers for reference:
  • Strengthening and standardizing the curriculum in the education system to maintain a synergizing effect amongst educational institutes of various countries and regions.
  • Reshaping faculty curriculum with the students' curriculum as per the changing education trends.
  • Promotion professionalization of faculty members and reassigning "ownership" of policies by offering incentives to faculty along with opportunities of professional growth and development.
With regard to the last point, professional growth and development of teachers and faculty members require proper training and development institutions for the progress of the faculty teachers. The crucial aspect for IAO International Accreditation Organization or other accreditation agencies is to evaluate the aptitude of the faculty members, for the level of education they will be imparting, ranging from primary school to PhD level.
Polices must be developed or improved to channelize the benefits and privileges. Special emphasis must be paid to raising the salary packages and health insurance. IAO International Accreditation Organization or other accreditation agencies must keep in mind the effective management standards and polices for the faculty in order to globally contribute to education.

Moreover, the accreditation must not be region-specific, but the accreditation must follow the global or international rules of accreditation. As this is the only way to bring a standardize education across the globe. All renowned educational institutes including IAO understand the need for accreditation. Moreover in order to implement educational standardization, the educational institutes must enroll learned and experienced faculty.
